Event Description: Our second event was held at Lago’s Restaurant in Westchester. The purpose of this meet-up was to give members an opportunity to get to know each other and also to provide a platform for people to open up and share their individual stories. Approximately 28 members attended the event. Jalpa Shah, the administrator, started the meeting by discussing the purpose of the group and the future goals. The forum then opened for people to share their personal experiences. Dr. Parinda Parikh gave a talk on resilience. Again, some members shared the tough times they have had and how they have survived through those times. We all participated in some ice-breakers games and then members were encouraged to get to know each other. The meeting left people interested in more events.
